There are very few San Felipe webcams (live video or still pictures) still operating.
This is a list of all known webcams in San Felipe, and it will be updated as new webcams become available, or when a webcam is no longer active.
(updated: Oct 2011)
San Felipe Webcam - Beach
There is a good view of the beach, from the south, on Tony Colleraine's Weather Page. This is updated in daylight hours (not a lot happens at night!).
Blue Roadrunner
The Blue Roadrunner webcam is now active after a long period when it was unavailable. Rather distant view of the sea.
Tell me about any new webcams
Amazingly, that is it as of August 2010 October 2011 - one two functioning web cams in the whole of San Felipe!
If you know of any other working San Felipe webcams, please tell me with the "contact" link below.

Rob, thanks for bringing up this topic. I think webcams are a great promotional and informational tool. I have often wondered why El Dorado Ranch doesn't have one on their spectacular beach. Do you happen to know how expensive it is to purchase and maintain a webcam? Thanks.

Vivian, Webcams are not expensive. A basic camera wired to a computer (which must be always on) is under $50.
Better choices are a network camera, either wired to a router (under $100) or wireless (under $150).
These prices are for "indoor" cameras (good enough for somewhere sheltered), rugged outdoor cameras can cost much more.
The internet connection needs to be good for live video, but for something that just uploads a snap every minute or two anything will do, even Telnor.
I do agree an El Dorado beach cam (maybe from a condo window) would be nice. Even a golf course cam now it's looking better.

Thanks for the information, Rob. That's a great idea about both a beach and a golf course cam. If someone from El Dorado Ranch doesn't read this, I will suggest this idea to them. It would be great publicity! Thanks again.
EDR: Any chance of installing a webcam or two?
